Wicked Edge introduced several new models in 2023 and 2024. The WE60 Series and the WE400 Series. The WE60 Series are smaller in size so they can be easily carried with you wherever you go and take up less storage space in you home or shop. The popular WE Gen 3 Pro had been redesigned and renamed the Wicked Edge Gen 4 Pro. The difference between these modes is price and a few conveniences.
Let me start by saying that all the Wicked Edge Models will get your knife sharper than you ever imagined. Which model is best for you is really a matter of personal preference. The Wicked Edge Sharpener is available in 5 basic models and 3 Pro Packs. The Pro Packs include one of the basic models plus various accessories bundled together.
All models come with the newer ball-jointed guide rods and will sharpen knives with blades up to 15" long. All models include a depth key and alignment guide. The main difference between the models is the angle range and the clamping mechanism.
Wicked Edge Basic Models
The 4 basic models are the Model 60, 100, 120, 130 and Gen 4 Pro.
The WE60 Series is both a redesign of the original WE50 plus 2 new models added to the series.. The WE60 has been redesigned from the bottom up to accommodate more knife styles, provide smoother clamping, easier angle setting and operate with even more precision.
The redesigned Standard Vise Law allows easier clamping on fully flat ground and distally tapered blades frequently found on kitchen and pocket knives. These models are lightweight and compact for easy storage or travel. They can be secured to any hard, flat surface with the included C-clamp or mounted to a work surface through the predrilled holes in the base. There are three variations. The Wicked Edge GO (Model 60), The Cobalt (Model 64) and the Obsidian (Model 66). All these include the following features:

• Include 200 and 600 Grit Diamond Stones
• Guide Rod Length - 8.75 inches
• Max Blade Length - 15 inches
• Angle adjustment to any increment from 13 to 31 degrees
• C-clamp included for mounting to a work surface
• Pre-drilled holes for mounting to a base (base sold separately)

There are slight differences between the models. The most significant difference in the models is the WE60 comes swith the Standard Jaws and the WE64 and WE66 come with the Cam Lock Jaws. The other differences are the way the Max Blade Width on the WE60 is 1/4" vs 3/16" on the WE64 and WE66. Also, the way the angle is adjusted on the WE66 is different.

The Model 60 Wicked Edge GO - $275The Wicked Edge GO is lowest price Wicked Edge model. It it lightweight and more compact than the other models making it easy to store and transport. The WE60 has the standard parallel-facing jaws which can securely hold a wide variety of knife styles. We have not found a knife that these jaws can't hold.

The Model 60 Wicked Edge Cobalt - $499The Wicked Edge Cobalt is exactly the same as the GO except it has the Cam Lock Jaws instead of the Standard Jaws. The difference between the jaw types can be seen by clicking here → Wicked Edge Jaws. To lock your knife in the Standard Jaw you just need to tighten two screws. To lock your knife in the Cam Lock Jaws you simply move a lever. The Cam Lock makes it a little quicker to mount your knife. It takes about 30 seconds to mount your knife in the Standard Jaws and about 10 seconds to mount the knife in the Cam Lock Jaws.

The Model 60 Wicked Edge Cobalt - $625The Wicked Edge Obsidian is the same as the Cobalt except for the way you adjust your angles. On the Go and the Cobalt you adjust the angle by sliding the guide rod left or right. On the Obsidian you adjust your angle by turning a dial on the end of the sharpener. The new Gen 4 Pro is a redesign of the popular Gen 3 Pro. It has been redesigned from the bottom up to accommodate more knife styles, provide smoother clamping, even easier angle setting and operate with even more precision.
There are four variations of the Gen 4. The Model 400, 401, 410 and 411. All Gen 4 Models include the following features:

• Cam-Lock Vise Jaws
• One-Step angle adjustment
• Include 100,200,400,600,800 and 1000 Grit Diamond Stones
• Guide Rod Length - 8 inches
• Max Blade Length - 15 inches
• Max Blade Width - 3/16 inches
• Come pre-mounted to a base

The most significant difference in the models is some include a storage shelf and some do not. The other differences are the angle adjustment increments and the angle range.

Model 400 - $999

• No Cabinet
• Angle adjustment from 12 to 28 degrees
• Angle adjustment increments of .5 degrees

Model 401 - $1299

• Includes Cabinet
• Angle adjustment from 12 to 28 degrees
• Angle adjustment increments of .5 degrees

Model 410 - $1299

• No Cabinet
• Angle adjustment from 12 to 33 degrees
• Angle adjustment increments of .05 degrees

Model 411 - $1499

• Includes Cabinet
• Angle adjustment from 12 to 33 degrees
• Angle adjustment increments of .05 degrees

Wicked Edge Model 100 is the first model introduced and is the still the most popular model sold. The 100 has the standard parallel-facing jaws which can securely hold a wide variety of knife styles. We have not found a knife that these jaws can't hold. The WE100 also has independent angle adjustment on both sides of the sharpener. The angle range is 15 to 30 which is sufficient for 99% of our customers. My personal Wicked Edge is a Model 100 that I got when I first became a dealer for Wicked Edge in 2010. It is one of the first off the production line. I have used it to sharpen hundreds of knives and it has never given me the slightest problem. The only upgrades I made were to add the Wicked Edge 1500/2200 Grit Stones and the Lapping Film Kit 4. Using the Model 100 and these two accessories I can get a butter knife shaving sharp.

The Model 120 has the same jaws as the Model 100 except there is riser block added that raises the height of the jaws. This expands the angle range from 15-30 to 13-35. Like the Model 100, the 120 has a main angle adjustment in 1 increments plus the added ability to make micro-angle adjustments in 0.05 increments.
The Model 130 features the Cam Lock jaws which make it a little quicker to mount your knife. It takes about 30 seconds to mount your knife in the standard jaws and about 10 seconds to mount the knife in the Cam Lock Jaws. This Cam Lock jaw is ideal for accommodating a wide variety of knife grinds, including fully flat, hollow ground blades and distally tapered blades. The 130 also has an angle range of 13 to 35and micro-angle adjustment in 0.05 increments.
The Wicked Edge Wicked Edge Generation 3 Pro has the same Cam Lock Jaws as the Model 130 plus two key differences. The Gen 3 is the only model with the 1-step angle adjustment. The 1-step angle adjustment allows you to adjust both angles simultaneously which again, saves about a minute in the set-up time. It is also the only model mounted on a cabinet. The Gen 3 Pro has an angle range of 14 to 27and micro-angle adjustment in 0.05 increments.
The Model 100, 120, 130 and Gen 3 Pro all come with the 100/200 and 400/600 grit stones. The Gen 3 Pro includes the added 800/1000 grit stones. The base is optional for the 100, 120 and 130. The Generation 3 comes mounted to a cabinet.
Wicked Edge Pro Packs
There are three Wicked Edge Pro Packs. The Pro Packs include one of the basic models plus various accessories bundled together.
All Pro Packs include the standard 100/200 and 400/600 grit diamond stones. All Pro Packs also include a base.
The Wicked Edge Pro Pack 1 includes the Model 100 Sharpener plus the additional 800/1000 stones and the 5/3.5 leather strops. The Wicked Edge Pro Pack 1 is the most popular model by a wide margin.
The Pro Pack 2 includes the Model 120 Sharpener plus the additional 800/1000 and 1500/2200 diamond stones. The Pro Pack 2 also includes the 4/2 micron strops plus a digital angle gauge.
The Pro Pack 3 includes the Model 130 Sharpener plus the additional 800/1000 stones and 1500/2200 diamond stones. The Pro Pack 3 also includes the 3000 Grit Diamond Stones and Glass Platens, 3 micron lapping film, digital angle gauge, Low Angle Adapter and extra Jaws for 1/4" Blades. The Hard Case with wheels and retractable handles is now optional.
Summary
The Wicked Edge Model 100 and Pro Pack 1 remain the most popular models. They have an angle range of 15 to 30 and can sharpen a knife with a blade length of up to 15". They are perfect for those who want the ability to sharpen their knives to a razor edge but have been frustrated with other methods. I'v said it before and I'll say it again, the Model 100 gives everyone the ability to get a razor sharp edge on any knife. It is a foolproof system capable of handling almost every sharpening task.
The Model 120 and Pro Pack 2 give you an expanded angle range and the ability to do micro-angle adjustments down to .05 degree increments if you desire.
