Pride Abrasive Combination Stone Kit 1

This sharpening set includes the Pride Abrasive 220/1000 and 3000/8000 grit combination stones plus the Flattening Stone. It has everything you need to take a badly worn blade and make it razor sharp.
The 220 grit is perfect for repairing damaged and severely worn knives and tools. It is also used for re-profiling or creating a secondary bevel.
The 1000 grit is an all-purpose stone and provides a finished edge for many day to day cutting tasks. it is also the most popular grit sold.
The 3000 provides a finished edge for many sharpening applications yet removes steel at an exceptionally fast rate. It is by far the fastest water stone we've seen in this grit range.
The Pride Abrasive 8000 Water Stone is a polishing stone. It provides a raor sharp edge finish and mirror edge on knives and tools and is the grit most straight razor users are satisfied with.
The Flattening Stones is used to maintain your stones when needed.
Pride Abrasive combination stones are well priced, sharpening quickly, and leave an edge you expect from a premium water stone.
They are in a class with high grade Japanese waterstones like Sigma and Shapton Glass Stones.  They perform better than Norton, Bester/Imanishi, Chosera and cheaper imported stones.
Having sharpened with every major brand of water stone, we can say the Pride water stones deserve to be classed with the best of them. Their combination of speed, durability and finish is as good or better than any we have used.
They cut premium tool steels like A2, D2, O1 quickly and their finish is what you should expect from their given grit level.
Like any good water stone, they should be soaked in water for 10-15 minutes prior to use.
