The Shapton Rockstar is the same size and quality and the popular Glass Stones. The only difference is the thickness of the sharpening abrasive. Both are 8.25" long x 2.75" wide. However, the sharpening abrasive on the Rockstar is 10mm thick while the abrasive of the standard Shapton Glass Stones is 5mm thick. The RockStar does not have the glass backing, it is a solid brick of abrasive.

The RockStar is compatible with Shapton Accessories like the Shapton Stone Holder, Sharpening Pond, and the Shapton Lapping Plate.
